Launch of the First Site Management Plan Under a National Program for Jordan’s Key Heritage Sites

The Department of Antiquities, in coordination with the Reform Secretariat, launched the Amman Citadel Site Management Plan on Thursday, February 12. This marks the first plan under a national program that will deliver six site management plans for some of Jordan’s most significant archaeological sites. The initiative represents a strategic step toward strengthening sustainable site management and preserving one of Jordan’s most prominent heritage landmarks, in alignment with the objectives of the Economic Modernization Vision to develop cultural tourism and enhance its contribution to economic growth.
